Ada, OK (July 20, 2019) – Police have now released the details and identities of those involved in a collision that occurred on Wednesday, July 17th. The accident involved three vehicles and left three people injured along State Highway 19 in Ada.
According to police, two vehicles were stopped for a funeral procession on Highway 19 at the time of the crash. One of the vehicles was hit from behind. The impact forced that vehicle into the car in front of it.
Two people inside the vehicle that was struck have been identified as 19-year-old Brittany Reeves and 19-year-old Hannah Myers, both of Ada. 32-year-old Joseph Wheat, of Latta, was driving the vehicle that triggered the crash. 39-year-old Jeremy Mitchell, of Pontotoc County, was driving the vehicle that was hit by the middle car.
Reeves, Myers, and Wheat were taken to Mercy Hospital Ada, and Mitchell was uninjured in the collision. The accident is believed to have been caused by driver inattention.
