Canute, OK – Greta Cox Identified As Victim Of Fatal I-40 CrashTruck Accidents in Oklahoma on May 9, 2019
Canute, OK (May 9, 2019) – On May 8th, just before 3:00 p.m., Oklahoma Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on Interstate 40.
According to police, a semi and a car were stopped for traffic along the interstate due to a construction zone.
A semi-truck, traveling west along Interstate 40, struck the car and pushed it off the roadway. The semi-truck then struck the other semi, which was waiting behind the car.
The semi-truck driver was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. The driver of the car, who was identified as 70-year-old Greta Cox, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. The passenger inside the car, as well as the second semi driver, were treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
