Cordell, OK – Update: Identity Of Man Injured In Plane Crash Released

Cordell, OK (August 11, 2019) – Police have released the identity of a man who was injured in a small plane crash in Cordell Friday, August 9th. Devin Humphrey was reported as the pilot of a plane that went down near the runway at the Cordell Municipal Airport for unknown reasons.

According to authorities, Humphrey was piloting a single-engine Cessna C150 in the aforementioned vicinity when he crashed in a nearby field. Emergency crews were called to the scene and the victim was reported alive in an unknown condition.

The Cordell Fire Department stated that Humphrey was the only one in the plane. Whether or not the cause of the crash was a mechanical failure is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
