Duncan, OK (July 30, 2019) – Around 5:00 p.m. on July 27th, the Duncan Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 7.
According to reports, a driver was traveling west on Highway 7 in a pickup truck when the driver failed to stop at a red light. As the truck traveled through the intersection, it crashed into the side of a Chevy Trailblazer.
The driver of the Trailblazer sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger inside the SUV sustained serious injuries. The female victim had to be extricated from the vehicle before being flown to Oklahoma City for medical treatment.
The driver of the pickup was uninjured. However, he was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
