LeFlore County, OK – Crash On State Highway 144 Results In InjuriesCar Accidents in Oklahoma on July 24, 2019
LeFlore County, OK (July 24, 2019) – On July 19th, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 144 and Indian Service Road.
According to reports from OHP, 49-year-old Christopher Leitka was traveling south on Old Indian Highway in a 2017 Dodge Journey. As Leitka passed through the intersection with State Highway 144, he failed to stop at a stop sign.
As a result of not stopping, Leitka’s vehicle collided with a westbound 2006 Pontiac driven by 26-year-old Stacy Toon.
Leitka was injured in the collision and transported via EMS to Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital in Talihina. His passenger, 46-year-old Jenna Leitka, was transported by EMS to the same hospital.
Toon had to be extricated from his vehicle before being transported to Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital for medical treatment.
18-year-old Yvniyv Lowe Murray was injured and airlifted to Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
