Car Accidents in Oklahoma on May 4, 2019

Muskogee County, OK (May 4, 2019) – On Friday afternoon, May 3rd, a tragically fatal motor vehicle accident that also resulted in serious injuries took place just south of Warner. According to authorities, an 83-year-old man was killed while a 31-year-old woman and two children were hurt in the crash that occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Highway 2.

Troopers stated that Ernest Kazmir, 83, of Porum, was traveling along the highway in a 1991 Cadillac Deville when he collided with a 2016 Cadillac SRX operated by Timothy Wood, 42, also of Porum, for unknown reasons. Police and emergency medical crews were immediately called to the crash site to render aid to any injured parties and evaluate the cause of the collision.

Kazmir was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene but there has been no word on whether or not Timothy Wood was injured. However, one passenger in the SRX, Laura Wood, 31, as well as two children in the same vehicle, ages 1 and 11, were transported to a Tulsa hospital.

The 1-year-old was treated and released, while the 11-year-old suffered head and internal injuries and considered to be in stable condition at this time. Laura Wood also suffered internal injuries, although her current condition has not been listed. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.

We would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Ernest Kazmir at this time.

Our thoughts are with them and the others who were injured in this accident.
