Nowata County, OK (June 4, 2019) – On June 4th, the Nowata County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 60.
According to reports, a motor vehicle collision occurred along the roadway for unspecified reasons. One person involved in the collision sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on site. A second person involved in the incident sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The accident caused a closure of the roadway between County Road 407 and County Road 409 as crews worked to clear the scene of the incident.
