Nowata County, OK (June 17, 2019) – On June 15th, at approximately 11:00 p.m., emergency crews and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on Highway 60.

According to reports, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler was traveling down the roadway when it struck two pedestrians in the area between County Road 406 and County Road 407.

One of the pedestrians was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. The second pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. John Hospital in Tulsa immediately following the incident.

At this time, the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
