Sequoyah County, OK (August 18, 2019) – Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash with at least minor injuries in Sequoyah County on Sunday at 4:41 p.m.

Officials stated that the collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40, just west of Sallisaw. The impact of the crash alerted both police and paramedics to the scene near mile marker 304. Emergency crews verified that at least one person was hurt. However, the extent of those injuries has not been confirmed.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the events of this incident. No further information has been provided.
