Spencer, OK (July 11, 2019) – On the Fourth of July, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Douglas Boulevard.
According to reports, one vehicle was traveling north along Douglas Blvd, while a second vehicle was traveling south along the same roadway. During the travel, one of the vehicles crossed over the center lane and struck the second head-on.
The driver who caused the incident was injured and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the second car, who was only identified as an elder female, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
An investigation into the crash found that the driver who caused the accident was under the influence of alcohol during the incident. At this time, charges are pending.
