Tulsa, OK (April 25, 2019) – On April 23, Tulsa police were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident near 31st and Riverside around 8:30 p.m. involving a small child and his mother.
According to police, on Tuesday night, a 5-year-old boy and his mother were riding a rented scooter through the area when they were struck by a newer model Honda Civic in the roadway.
The mother was uninjured in the collision, but the young boy was critically injured in the crash and was transported to a trauma center in critical condition. Approximately 30-minutes after the collision, the child succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the car fled the scene of the incident initially. On Wednesday, April 24, police arrested Renier S. Davison, who is believed to be the driver of the Honda.
