Meet Brenda Gómez O’Dell

Brenda understands it is hard to juggle your unanticipated health concerns while dealing with difficult insurance companies who seem unwilling to help. Brenda and her family moved to Oklahoma in 2018. Brenda was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Brenda has a passion for advocating for Oklahoma’s Hispanic/Latino community and is fluent in Spanish. She is a member of the Governor’s Hispanic Council and is an honoree of the Top 40 Oklahoma Hispanic Leadership Award.
Brenda received her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies and Paralegal Certification from the University of La Verne. Before taking on the rigors of law school, Brenda was a litigation paralegal for a nationally awarded personal injury law firm in California. She has over a decade of experience in both plaintiff and insurance defense work. In 2017, she was awarded Employee of the Year.
Brenda was a merit scholar at Oklahoma City University School of Law. While in law school, she was awarded a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Civil Rights Litigation. She was a student leader involved in various school activities and organizations. Most notably, she served as President of the Catholic Law Student Association and Secretary of the Hispanic Law Student Association.
Brenda joined McIntyre Law as a legal intern in November 2020. She received her Juris Doctorate in May 2022. Brenda passed the July 2022 bar exam and was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in September 2022. Brenda has also been admitted to the U.S. Western District Court.
Brenda is married to Aaron and has two daughters, Alyssa and Amber. Brenda and Aaron are the proud grandparents of Scarlett. In her free time Brenda enjoys crafting and calligraphy
