Hugo, OK – Jody King Injured, Shirley Johnson Killed In Highway 70 CrashCar Accidents in Oklahoma on July 15, 2019
Hugo, OK (July 15, 2019) – On July 12th, around 1:00 p.m., Oklahoma Highway Patrol and emergency crews reported to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 70 near 271.
Reports from the incident indicate that 66-year-old Shirley Johnson was traveling along Highway 70 when she attempted to make a turn only 271 without failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. As a result, Johnson’s vehicle was struck by Choctaw County Undersheriff Jody King’s vehicle.
Johnson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. King was seriously injured and flown to a hospital in Plano in critical condition.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
