Leflore County, OK – Crash East Of Poteau Results In Injuries

Leflore County, OK (July 29, 2019) – On July 28th, Troopers in Leflore County responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident just east of Poteau.

According to reports, a male was traveling along an unidentified roadway in a pickup truck when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed over the centerline of the roadway. As the pickup crossed into the approaching lane, it collided head-on with a Suburban.

The driver of the pickup truck was pinned inside his vehicles. Firefighters spent over 45 minutes trying to extricate the man before transporting him to an area hospital.

A 6-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man were both injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
