Midwest City, OK (June 15, 2019) – According to police, an animal control officer suffered injuries after being bitten by a dog on Saturday, June 15th. The incident occurred along Choctaw Ridge Road.
According to authorities, the officer was sent to the 1100 block of Choctaw Ridge Road, which is situated in a neighborhood near South Westminster Road and Southeast 15th Street, to respond to a call concerning a stray dog. While attempting to round up the animal, the officer was bitten on the arm.
A personal vehicle transported the injured officer to a nearby hospital where it was confirmed that he had suffered at least minor injuries. The animal was promptly taken to a nearby shelter but no further information has been released.
