Nowata County, OK (June 19, 2019) – On June 15th, at approximately 11:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on Highway 60, just one mile west of County Road 406.
According to reports, 30-year-old Amanda Weeks was walking along the highway during the evening hours when she was struck by a 2011 Toyota Camry, driven by 22-year-old Matthew Savala.
Weeks sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation at this time by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Reports indicate that no one else involved in the collision was injured.
