Oklahoma City, OK (May 16, 2019) – Just before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14th, Oklahoma City emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Southwest 22nd Street and Meridian Avenue.
According to reports, 27-year-old Mitchell Gray was traveling south along Meridian when he attempted to turn east onto Southwest 22nd Street. Gray failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle traveling north along the inside lanes of Meridian, causing a fatal collision.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. The passenger on the motorcycle was injured and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
Mitchell Gray was arrested for his part in this incident and charged with first-degree manslaughter and DUI.
