Ottawa Co., OK (June 17, 2019) – On Friday, June 14th, Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident just before noon on Highway 10.
Reports from OHP state that 18-year-old Gabrielle P. Durham was traveling east on Highway 10 in a 2008 Toyota Camry. At the same time, 43-year-old Nathan S. Wicks was traveling west on Highway 10 in a 2019 Hino truck.
For unknown reasons, Durham’s vehicle departed the roadway to the right before it was overcorrected. The driver lost control of the vehicle as it traveled across the center of the roadway and struck the Hino truck.
Durham sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. Wicks remained uninjured in the collision.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
