Stringtown, OK (June 6, 2019) – Just after 12:30 p.m. on June 4th, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident 10 miles north of Stringtown.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Rebbeca Adkins-Ruiter was riding on a motorcycle with 39-year-old Heather Gaddis behind a semi on the roadway. The semi-truck began to slow down in the road, due to wet road conditions.

Adkins-Ruiter was unable to stop the vehicle in time and, as a result, the motorcycle rear-ended the semi-truck. Both Atkins-Ruiter and Gaddis sustained fatal injuries in the collision and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Ms. Rebbeca Adkins-Ruiter and Ms. Heather Gaddis at this time.
