Tahlequah, OK (August 5, 2019) – On August 2, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in the 22600 block of State Highway 51.
Reports from Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicate that a Chevrolet Colorado and a Toyota Tacoma collided along the roadway after one driver took her eyes off the road due to her cellphone, causing her vehicle to cross over the center lines.
Both drivers were injured in the collision and transported by emergency medical services to the Northeastern Health System.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
