Texas County, OK (August 13, 2019) – At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a serious automobile accident on US Highway 412.
Reports from OHP show that 20-year-old Chance Prewitt was traveling west along County Road Z, in a 2019 Ford F250 pickup, when he failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
As a result, Prewitt’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a semi-truck.
Prewitt sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to the airport via Guymon EMS where he was then transported to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo via Apollo Medi Flight.
The passenger in Prewitt’s vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Bradon Cole Henderson, was transported via Apollo Medi Flight to Northwest Texas Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
