Guthrie, OK (July 28, 2019) – An ATV crash that took place early Sunday morning, July 28th, has left the passenger of that vehicle in critical condition. According to police, the accident happened around 3:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Sooner and Simpson Roads, just south of Guthrie.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that two men, ages 26 and 39, were traveling west along Simpson Road on an ATV. For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree before rolling several times. Both men were ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene where the 26-year-old male driver of the ATV was uninjured. A medical helicopter was called to airlift the 39-year-old male passenger to a nearby hospital. The victim has been listed in critical condition. Speed and intoxication are believed to be factors in the crash.
