Mayes County, OK – Pedestrian Injured In Crash On Highway 82Car Accidents in Oklahoma on July 18, 2019
Mayes County, OK (July 17, 2019) – On July 16, Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a hit and run pedestrian accident on Highway 82 just south of Locust Grove.
Reports from witnesses indicate that a dark blue Chevy truck with an extended cab rear-ended a car along the roadway. The driver of the pickup truck pulled over to the side of the road and a passenger from the car exited the vehicle.
As the passenger stood alongside the road, the driver of the pickup truck took off, running over the passenger on the side of the road.
The passenger sustained very serious injuries and was transported to the intensive care unit in an area hospital.
No other person involved in the accident was injured. At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
