Ottawa County, OK (July 30, 2019) – On July 29th, just before 6:30 a.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on U.S. 69A.
According to reports, 63-year-old Tina Yvonne Axtell was traveling north along U.S. 69A in a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo when her vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo in the southbound lane.
Axtell sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Isuzu was seriously injured and transported to a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
