Rogers County, OK (August 13, 2019) – At approximately 11:30 p.m. on August 11, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident along Highway 66 between Foyil and Sequoyah.
Reports from OHP show that a GMC Sierra was traveling along the roadway when the driver over-corrected at a curve and went into a ditch. The vehicle then proceeded off the road before crashing into a tree.
Four individuals were ejected from the vehicle.
47-year-old Nicole Estes sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
46-year-old Billy S. Hemphill sustained serious head and torso injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Bertha Turpin sustained very serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
A third passenger was treated at an area hospital.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
