Stephens County, OK (August 16, 2019) – On August 14th, around 2:45 p.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Old Highway 81 near Fuller Road.

Reports from authorities indicate that a man was traveling in a car through the area. The driver pulled his vehicle away from a farm field and as he entered into the roadway, he was struck by a train.

The train stopped shortly after the impact, causing a complete closure of the roadway for over two hours.

The male driver was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
