Tulsa, OK (July 13, 2019) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal car accident that took place on Friday afternoon, July 12th. Police stated that the two-car crash happened along State Highway 9, east of Stigler, around 1:45 p.m.
According to Troopers, Douglas Parkinson, 69, of Eufaula, was traveling westbound in a 2007 Honda Goldwing. The unidentified driver of a 2017 Buick Encore was heading east and attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway. The Encore entered Parkinson’s lane and subsequently caused the collision.
Parkinson lost his life in the crash and authorities reported that the driver of the Buick was uninjured. No further information has been released.
